I have always been really excited about the years of leap.. ..I always remember Leap Years the best for whatever reason.
Are YOU looking for something to do with this years added 24 hour cycle? If you find yourself with nothing to do for the last few hours of the 29th, drop by the Art Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana. There will be mperfection on the walls by pLopLop and yours truly. Additionally, there will be sounds by The Impossible Shapes.

The new issue!
Coming to a news stand near you-- the new episode of Bejeezus will be landing around the end of February. This will be our first issue with full national distribution. . .. . Oh yes. .. exciting times.
Number 10 is the second issue designed my the mperfect one. . .. it feels good right now. Illustration submissions by the Skeleton Royal, Johnny gLucose & Nat Russell make it that much more beautiful. Thanks to all of those Dudes. |

It wasn't until the Dudes at Bejeezus started to assemble a list of the folks to be a part of Blogjeezus, that I realized I hadn't posted anything to the MPERFECT blog in a year or so.. .. though I am under no grand illusions that folks are bummed about this or anything.. .. .
So, it was that combined with my lovely wife's addiction to her wonderfully composed PARTICIPATION BREEDS REVOLUTION blog that made me want to make more of an effort at updating it. I haven't done a great job at it, but whatever. Check it if you feel it.

The first official 2008 MPERFECT Nike has landed. Scaling back from the years previous Crayola inspired shoes, this time the palette is on the brown / black tip. Fairly fresh, if you were to ask me. .. . When I find a reason to leave the crib, I will be stepping out in them soon.
That's it. Nothing too out of the box, holy moly I can hardly believe it, but you know.. . .that's not how we roll. Just making things right and rightous.

NEW SITE & NEW SHIT AT THE MAKERY / SWIFT STINKS

As you might be aware, this little MPERFECT site has been looking a little stale as of late. I am not going to say it looks incredible or anything now, but at least it contains some good and fresh imagery.
If you have a moment to browse the newness, you might find some of it to be delicious... a little tangy maybe. And then you might decide to search out physical copies of this work for yourself. At that point you would have the option to either email the mperfect one for details on how to get a piece of your own, or you could just stroll into your nearest local venue for mperfection.
Which brings us to The Makery. This is a beautiful little shop that just opened up in Louisville. Everything in their space has been made by the human hand. Some new mperfection is hanging on their walls right now. You should check them out. |

Swift Away!
The MPERFECT Studio is located downwind from this meat packing plant called Swift. They are a huge monster of a corporation that has decided to pay intermittent fines for abusing air pollution laws instead of implementing the needed changes to bring their facilities up to date.
That's not cool Yo.
So, the good folks of our neighborhood, Butchertown, have come together to take on this giant. With attending the air pollution control meetings and working with the city, the hope is that our kids won't be growing up with crazy asthma and the constant smell of bacon in their clothes.
We shall see.

TONIC GALLERY 2007 / NEW YORK CITY & LEAP YEAR.

Damn. Really? Has it been a year since the last Tonic Ball & Tonic Gallery? How ridiculously quick this year went by.
Well, great. One of the most anticipated events in Indianapolis is coming up this Friday, the 16th of November.
This years music celebration revolves around Madonna and the Clash, which should make for a delightful evening of sounds.
The showing of beautiful artwork dontated by Indianapolis artists will again be held at the Wheeler Arts Community. MPERFECT is pleased and pleasured to have been asked to donate a piece for this event for the 5th year now. Pop in and purchase some goodness this Friday.

The MPERFECT crew just got back from a glorious little trip to NYC. . . .. Just the initial inspiration needed to kick off the process of preparing another gallery show, which has just been confirmed.
Clear your calendar for next years bonus day, Friday February 29. This coming Leap Year Day MPERFECT will join forces with the incredible pLopLop guru gLucose for a collaboration show at the Art Hospital in Bloomington, Indiana.
